The sapling

Matano Sigismondo’s “Alberello” is a modular sculpture available in three sizes, made of porcelain stoneware and neodymium magnets. You can create the little tree by choosing, as you like, a base, twig, branch, trunk, and leaves of various shapes and colors—both design-oriented and artistic—to compose a sculpture that is always different and never final.

The project is carried out entirely in Castellamonte, the city of ceramics. In 2025, the design elements were complemented by the “Artista” leaves created by local ceramicists.
