The sapling

The ‘Alberello’ by Matano Sigismondo, Roberto Castellano and Luca Chiartano is a modular sculpture available in three sizes, made from porcelain stoneware and neodymium magnets. The sculpture is created by selecting, as desired, a base, twig, branch, trunk and leaves in various shapes and colours – both design-inspired and artistic – to compose a sculpture that is always different and never definitive.

The project is carried out entirely in Castellamonte, the city of ceramics. In 2025, the design elements were complemented by the “Artista” leaves created by local ceramicists.
