The Potter’s House

Elisabetta Grandi creates stoneware ceramics for everyday use in accordance with MOCA regulations, as well as home decor items and jewelry.

She loves hiking in the mountains, where she gathers wild herbs that she uses to create botanical impressions, as well as natural clays that, once properly sifted, become the base for engobes used to decorate her pieces.

The pieces are primarily shaped on a potter’s wheel or made using the slab technique, with the clay rolled out by hand using a rolling pin. The pieces are then fired in an electric kiln at 1250 °C.
