*Of Earth and Hands of Fire* by Rossana Brambilla
Torre de’ Roveri, Italy
Rossella Brambilla works primarily with semi-refractory clays, coated with glazes obtained through decantation, and uses alternative firing techniques in an oxygen-reduced atmosphere, such as saggar firing, bucchero, and obvara firing.
She prefers the hand-building techniques of pizzicato and colombino, using a meticulous ribbing method. She creates decorative objects, vases, and lamps, with a particular focus on design.
