Niballo Palio of Faenza

The Niballo Palio of Faenza is a historic reenactment of medieval and Renaissance events that has taken place on the fourth Sunday in June since 1959.

The event features the city’s five districts competing against one another to win the coveted Palio. More than just a race, it is a tradition that brings the city to life for an entire month with spectacular, flag-waving competitions in the squares, historical parades featuring ladies, knights, musicians, and steeds, as well as celebratory dinners and food stalls.
