Manimono

Vimercate, Italy

Barbara’s work draws inspiration from the beauty of high-temperature clays, which vary in color, grain, texture, and tone.

The techniques she uses—primarily the potter’s wheel, but also coil building, slab building, pizzicato, kurinuki, and hand-building—respond to this diversity of inspiration, celebrating in her own way the generosity of a unique material.

She creates lines of tableware, series of decorative items (single-flower vases, ikebana vases, decorative tiles, centerpieces…), one-of-a-kind pieces, and sculptures
