Each object is the keeper of a story that needs to be written and told, and represents its true intangible value. The ceramists were asked to narrate one of their works on an emotional level: through it, visitors can immerse themselves and recognize the sensitivity and passion of the maker who created it.
The work becomes the “self-portrait” of its creator, an element of narrative and knowledge.
The Craftsman is the custodian of that authentic Know-How and ambassador of a specific territorial culture that, through the ceramic object (the work) is expressed and, if told, can become the culture of its own territory.
“Self-Portraits | Stories of Objects.” was an important initiative that gave a strong signal: at a time when exhibition spaces were closed, where it was not possible to organize shows or exhibitions, the virtual was a new response to communicate that Culture and High Craft cannot stop but adapts to changes, changing its modes of expression.
The in-person exhibition will also be joined by a new virtual exhibition at www.arcadeitalenti.com.
The exhibition is conceived by Fondo Plastico, in collaboration with Arca dei Talenti.
Partner of the initiative Fabbrica Lumière (Asolo – TV) for the realization of the multimedia part and streaming management.
