Play with Clay/Workshop
WORKSHOP – at the Carlo Zauli Museum, Faenza
Friday, September 02 , 3:30 p.m. – 6:30 p.m.
The workshop, hosted in the Zauli Museum spaces, is aimed at young artists who will be sent to make a “beach kit” out of self-made Cave clay. Young participants will have the opportunity to experience the manipulation of matter through play, experiencing direct contact with the earth. When the laboratory is completed, there will be a total of 268 items, which are the
symbolic representation of the miles that connect the Cave space to the city of
Faenza.
The sculptures born from the workshop will become part of the ‘installation within the Latte exhibition space, which will simulate the clay quarry environment. The surface of the project space will be populated with excavators and toy trucks made of clay, dinosaurs and archaeologist’s tools, which will invade, shape and act on the space itself.
The layout and process of the project is by Gioele Melandri and Arianna Zama.
