Open studio and Portrait of the Soul

Three days of open studio to receive enthusiasts, colleagues, friends from all over the world: not only to show new work, but also to compare and get together. There will be no shortage of unique and iconic pieces dedicated entirely to Argillà.

On Saturday I will combine the exposed pottery with other very important aspects in my research, drawing and art
participated, with the event “Portrait of the Soul.”
This project was born on the occasion of a residency at the Macro Roma in 2019. Invited to work in the spaces
museums without the possibility of using my usual media, I approached my other expressive medium, drawing.
I portrayed over 100 visitors who came to my studio during the week, inviting them to sit and converse
while in the flow I drew what the energy and words conveyed to me. I like to repost this
experience occasionally, on special occasions. Argillà’s return to Faenza seems to me the right time to
engage the audience in a more intimate and direct way, leaving them with a tangible sign of our encounter.
