The association was established with the aim of keeping alive and ensuring the proper functioning of the Monumental Fountain, whose seventeenth-century water system (the fountain was built in 1621 based on a design by Dominican Father Friar Domenico Paganelli) requires onerous and regular maintenance over time, which can only be carried out by specialized personnel.
