The firing techniques used by Ehsan Shayegh include the “third firing” and reduction firing in the kiln.

The “third firing” is a low-temperature firing that takes place after the “bisque” firing and glazing, used to set specific decorations such as lustres and gold, ensuring refined details and exquisite finishes.

Reduction firing, on the other hand, carried out in an atmosphere with limited oxygen, alters the chemical reaction of the glazes and oxides, allowing for intense chromatic effects and unique shades, enhancing the depth of the glazes.
