Argillà Italia is the International Ceramics Festival and Market-Fair held every two years in Faenza, Italy, on the first weekend of September.
Since 2008, the festival has transformed Faenza’s historic centre into an international hub for ceramists, artists and industry professionals to meet and exchange ideas, as well as a lively promenade where visitors can view and purchase artistic and artisanal ceramics ranging from art and design to sculpture, homeware and accessories.
Alongside the market-fair, a rich program of cultural events shapes our Festival: the Mondial Tornianti – the world lathe championship – exhibitions, ceramic firings in outdoor kilns, concerts, workshops, lectures and activities dedicated to children.
All in the historic centre of Faenza, one of the world capitals of maiolica (hence the name Faïence), a city whose cultural identity is strongly linked to ceramic production and which still represents a European and world reference point in this field.
Argillà Italia was founded in 2008 as a spin-off from the French Festival Argilla, which has been held in Aubagne, near Marseille, since 1991, carrying forward the high quality of exhibitors, audience and cultural program, offering a truly international overview at contemporary ceramic production.

Argillà Italia is a widespread and inclusive event that brings the city’s historic centre, museums and public spaces to life. To ensure a pleasant and safe experience for everyone, we ask visitors to follow the staff’s instructions and to move carefully around the festival venues, particularly in the exhibition areas and during live performances.
Aggressive, offensive or discriminatory behaviour will not be tolerated, nor will any actions that may compromise the safety of people, works of art, equipment or the smooth running of events. We invite you to respect other visitors, exhibitors and residents, and to avoid behaviour that may disrupt the shared experience.
