CASADIVELLO
Marone, Italy
Silvia Armanini, an art historian and sculptor, spent time in Paris working with clay, and today she lives in Vello, on Lake Iseo.
Her ceramic works include brooches, sculptures, small three-dimensional pieces, and everyday objects, made of white earthenware or porcelain.
Each piece—whether shaped on a potter’s wheel, from a slab, or by hand—is then sculpted, engobed, and glazed. Its forms evoke a sleepy microcosm, a dreamy childhood, soft lights, and impetuous strokes.
