Vanni Donzelli

Castelverde - Italy

In the late 1990s, he began his journey in ceramics, focusing primarily on creating sculptures and decorative objects, and immediately delving into the construction of kilns, the preparation of ceramic slurries, and the world of high-temperature glazes.

Giovanni Donzelli creates his pieces using stoneware clays, primarily sourced from Germany, and fires them in a natural gas kiln he built himself at temperatures around 1300 °C, predominantly in a reducing atmosphere.

The glazes he uses are entirely of his own production.
