From France through Italy towards Europe
ARGILLÀ – ITALIA continually develops the characteristics of the French mother-manifestation held in Aubagne, near Marseille, proposing a high quality of exhibitors, of public, of events, and of collateral events.
At the same time, there will be a broader integration towards Europe through the collaboration of a network of partners, including the Associations of Cities of Ceramics from Italy, France, Spain, Romania, and Cities of “ancient ceramics tradition” from Austria, Spain, and Greece, as well as Italy and France.
FAENZA: Faiences
The word Faenza is synonymous with “majolica ” in every language: but Faenza is a city brimming with other riches and beautiful sights - be they historic, cuisine, landscapes - that make it a territory (the "Lands of Faenza"), a cultured and sophisticated tourist destination in the heart of Romagna and in the inland of the renowned Ravenna and Rimini.
The market-fair
The ARGILLÀ-ITALIA exhibition itinerary winds along the streets of the Historic District, leaving from the International Museum of Ceramics and ending in the main square, where “Mondialtornianti” (World Potters’ Wheels Competition - Potter’s Gold) is to be held.
Together with the “natural” tourist attraction, Argillà, with its rich and superb exhibition of ceramic art and crafts, aims to captivate a selected public of art collectors, experts, and aficionados from all over Italy, and in particular from the rich regions of northern Italy, where Faenza is located: Bologna, Modena, Ferrara, Ravenna, Florence, Verona, Parma, Milan, Venice, Padua, and Ancona are all cities located between 1 and 3 hours of travelling by car or train from Argillà.
